Web 3.0 is the evolution of web technologies. Web 3.0  is still evolving and there are many different options for it, with some critics saying that web 3.0 will be nothing more than a new version of the same thing over again, many tech experts claiming that it will have a strong emphasis on decentralized application and it will also make extensive use of blockchain-based technologies to help empower more intelligent and adaptive applications such as machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).

2.0 is the virtualization of our reality, allowing us to interact with it through a series of the content management system whereas 3.0 means that we can create content using a language that is decentralized, open, and non-proprietary (i.e., as opposed to HTML, which is owned and licensed by W3C).

Web 3.0 allows the creation of decentralized applications (dAPPS), which are applications that are not controlled by any central authority.

Blockchain is the technology that makes web 3.0 possible in today’s era and it was invented back in 2008 with the implementation of a virtual currency known as Bitcoin. In the years since blockchain has been implemented in other areas as well, such as supply chain management and healthcare record. Web 3.0 applications will make use of the blockchain.
